Vithanakande

Vithanakande Tea is a Pure Ceylon Tea. It is a single origin luxury tea that comes from a low country factory in Sri Lanka. Popularly referred as “Ruhunu Teas’, they are known for an incredibly sweet and mellow liquor flavour to it.

Vithanakande plantation is located high above the Ratnapura hills famous world over as the land of gems. It overlooks the slopes of “Singharaja Rain Forest,”. The plantation stands at 732m above sea level. The teas are handled by specially trained tea pluckers, who pluck from selected tea bushes. The yield is then processed at the factory. What’s unique about Vithanakande tea is its special mellow character that distinguishes it from the other low gown teas.

Ideal for mornings & evening, to draw out the best of its sweet & mellow liquor texture, it is recommended to brew 1 to 2 teaspoons per cup in boiling water for 3 to 5 minutes and sipped without sugar.

The image seen as loose leaf is a larger leaf grade. The tea bag will comprise of a finer cut of tea blended with the same ingredients.
